“World class hotel in Cotonou”
What a wonderful hotel! I have stayed here for almost two weeks and I can tell you that this is a great hotel. I was supposed to stay at another hotel in Cotonou (Azalai) but someone told me about this gem. I am so glad I switched to the Livingstone! The hotel is wonderful and lives up to American and European standards. Rooms are big and very comfortable. Things are in working order and everything is clean. And, most importantly, the staff is very, very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is great too and there are a lot of very good restaurants in walking distance (including the one attached to the hotel, which has good food and drinks and is a popular ex-pat hangout). If you’re coming to Cotonou I highly recommend this hotel. This should really be the #1 rated Cotonou hotel on Trip Advisor.
Home away from home. This little hotel is comfortable, convenient, and reasonably priced. The restaurant downstairs is tasty and convenient and an expat hangout, so travelers shouldn’t feel lonely. Wifi is spotty (like everywhere else in Benin).
I was bone tired when I arrived at my hotel at 3:30 AM. I was glad my room was available and ready for me to drop on the bed. The weather was hot and so was my room, but it cooled quickly when we turned on the air conditioning. My room was actually a suite, but I was there only for a few hours until my morning flight. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only drawback I can think of was no elevator and I had to carry my bags up and down three flights of stairs. It would not have been so bad if I had not been so tired. If I find I need to stay overnight in Cotonou again, this hotel would be a good choice.
